Reports from Argentina |
Introduction

My name is Dzhon Rid* and I am an American. I'm also a revolutionary communist."What? An American communist?" Yeah, I hear that a lot.
I'm going to spend the next two months in Argentina with the Partido de Trabajadores por el Socialismo (Workers' Party for Socialism). I'll be posting reports of my experiences here on the REVOLUTION message board.
Here is some information about the situation in Argentina:
The PTS' English site:
http://www.pts.org.ar/english.htm
Alan Woods' analysis:
http://www.marxist.com/Latinam/one_year_after_argentinazo.html
(I don't agree with him on all points – specifically the electoral boycott and the call for a constituent assembly – but this is a well-argued position and makes for an interesting read.)
Please, read these articles, translate them into your own language, spread them around. If you have any thoughts, then add a comment below. I have very little experience as a journalist so suggestions are welcome.
I arrive in Buenos Aires on Monday morning; broadcasting should begin sometime next week.
¡Viva la revolución!
